| In 1994 Chrysler was looking for
a new source to supply paper to its glass plants. Previous suppliers
were unable to meet the quantities the company needed at prices that
were comparable.
Realizing that good business situations don't wait
forever, Donald Snider, owner and CEO, quickly raised enough capital to
assume the paper conversion interest of Midwest Paper. And with no
previous experience, he started his own company.
His Detroit based company has enjoyed phenomenal
success. After only four years of operations Paper-Plas was one of the
fastest growing minority owned paper packaging companies in the United
States. The company surpassed its $2 million sales goal in 1998 and
expected to achieve revenues of $3 million by the beginning of 1999. The
company offers customized chipboard, corrugated sheeting, coated papers
and other products.
Snider feels he owes the company's success to his
dedication to quality, cost reduction, customer service and to
DaimlerChrysler Corporation's willingness to offer him the opportunity
to provide a service.
In addition Snider opened his second plant in
Milwaukee last year. He is currently doing business with four Fortune
500 Companies and has plans that will encourage others. (borrowed form

Today Paper-Plas lists among its customers
DaimlerChrysler Corporation, Dana Perfect Circle Corporation and
Hastings Manufacturing. Snider has also forged strategic alliances with
Tenneco Packaging. In Milwaukee the company's largest customer is
Rockwell-Allen Bradley.
Snider has received numerous awards and recognition
for his entrepreneurial achievements and service to the community,
including Black Enterprises magazine's Business Innovator
of the Year.
